Amidst the trials of the pandemic, individuals find solace within their isolated bubbles, shielded from the reach of the coronavirus. Delving into the astronomical realm, the term 'corona' denotes the ethereal envelope of gases enveloping celestial bodies like the sun. Within my artwork, the depiction of the sun's corona symbolizes a beacon of hope amidst adversity, signifying the presence of light at the culmination of hardships. Acknowledging the widespread challenges endured, whether it be the loss of loved ones, livelihoods, or the inability to hug friends and family, I aim to infuse my creation with hope for the future. Quarantine led us to introspection, fostering a collective journey of self-discovery and exploration. People gravitated towards passions, familial bonds, and acquiring new knowledge. The transition to virtual social interactions underscored the intrinsic value of human connection, reaffirming the indispensable role of companionship in our lives. Witnessing acts of heroism and solidarity reinforced the resilience of humanity and the love we all have for each other as a whole. This period of hardship prompted profound reflections on the significance of previously overlooked aspects of life, fostering a collective awakening to the preciousness of existence. As we navigated the storm together, we discovered the inherent capacity for adaptation, compassion, and growth within ourselves and our communities.
