The goddess Iris in Greek mythology is the personification of the rainbow, a link from the heavens to the earth. The goddess’s hair is on fire to capture the passion and strong energy that comes from her feminine energy. In Greek mythology, goddesses are often depicted with wings to symbolic of their capabilities of delivering messages anywhere. The flower, cala lily, resembles magnificent beauty in Greek culture. I chose to make this flower slowly blossom and turn into the rainbow resembling the magnificent beauty of the spectrum.
